History
From a humble beginning back in 2004 the UK Pinball Show has grown from strength to strength.
In 2004 Pinballers Anonymous held an open day at their workshop in Buckinghamshire. From then it became apparent that the UK had a huge demand for a showcase pinball event. Plans were drawn up and thanks to sponsorship from Nokia N-Gage we had the people, the money and the machines to launch the first ever UK Pinball Show.
The 2005 UK Pinball Show saw our efforts coming together for the first time. Nearly 150 pinball machines largely brought along by members of the UK Pinball Forum and the show was a success beyond our wildest dreams. More Pictures
But could such a spectacular (and costly) event be sustained? Well, not really but we had such a good time we once again secured sponsorship from Nokia N-Gage and went back a year later for the 2006 UK Pinball Show The show in 2006 had more machines and more visitors and incredibly was better than in 2005! So we had proved the demand was there and the support was there, but we really needed to come up with a long-term answer to the show.
This meant finding a venue where the whole family could spend a day or a weekend and have plenty to do, while dad was busy with his crazy flipping fingers.
And we did it! The 2007 UK Pinball Show moved to Wicksteed Park in Kettering which ticked more boxes on our ideal location than we could have hoped to find. More Pictures
So now to 2008, and with a new Friday preview and a dinner & awards ceremony on Saturday evening you can immerse yourself for a weekend of total pinball.
